Built for riders

Privacy without the fine-print fog.

What Legacy Connect handles, why it is needed, how riders control their information, and how to permanently delete an account.

Effective date: 23 September 2026

Account controls

Delete your Legacy Connect account

In the Legacy Connect app, open Profile → Delete Account, type DELETE, and confirm. This permanently deletes your account and associated server data and cannot be undone.

If you cannot access the app, email us from the address connected to your account.

Request account deletion

Deletion includes your profile, posts, friendships, messages, marketplace listings and synced rides. Limited records may be retained where legally required or necessary for fraud prevention, dispute handling or security. App-store purchase records are controlled by the relevant store.

Privacy overview

Legacy Connect respects your privacy. This policy applies to the Legacy Connect mobile application and related services. Legacy Connect is designed for dirt-bike riders and includes ride tracking, riding-location discovery, bike management, community, friendships, messaging, marketplace features, memberships and future connected hardware services.

Legacy Connect does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Information we may collect

We may collect or process information you provide or generate while using the app, including:

  • Account and rider-profile information such as email address, username, display name, profile image, location, region, country, skill level and bio.
  • Bike and Garage information such as make, model, year, engine size, setup, suspension, modifications, service history and engine hours.
  • Community and marketplace content such as posts, listings, reviews, photos, videos, descriptions and content reports.
  • Friend connections, marketplace conversations, approved Ride Out group chats and private messages between accepted friends.
  • Ride information such as GPS location, routes, GPS points, distance, speed, duration, ride history, motion data and statistics.
  • Device connection status and supported bike telemetry.
  • Membership status and purchase confirmation. Payment-card details are handled by the app-store provider and are not stored by Legacy Connect.
  • Technical and security information needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service.

Future Legacy Connect hardware may provide live GPS location, engine hours, engine temperature, bike movement, motion and ride telemetry, theft alerts and other connected-device information.

Location information

Location is used for features you choose, including ride tracking, route recording, nearby marketplace and riding-location discovery, maps, directions, theft tracking and connected-device services. Depending on your permissions and the feature, location may be processed while the app is open or while an active ride or supported background feature is running.

Your recorded location is not automatically public. Location-based content becomes visible to other riders only when you select a sharing option that makes it visible. You can change location permission in your device settings, although disabling it may prevent location-dependent features from working.

Optional Ride Guardian location sharing

Riders may choose to share their live location, last update time and device battery status with selected trusted contacts or through a secure, time-limited link. Sharing must be started by the rider and can be stopped at any time. It ends when the ride finishes or when the selected time expires.

Ride Guardian does not provide access to previous rides or intentionally reveal the rider's normal home location. Location is never made public by default.

Ride Guardian is a safety aid, not an emergency-response service. It may be affected by mobile coverage, GPS availability, battery level, device settings or technical interruptions. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services.

How information is used

  • Create, authenticate and manage accounts.
  • Record rides, calculate statistics and maintain ride history.
  • Maintain bike profiles, setups, service information and engine hours.
  • Provide maps, nearby discovery, directions and riding locations.
  • Operate community posts, achievements, leaderboards, friendships, messages, Ride Outs and marketplace features.
  • Provide membership access and confirm purchases.
  • Connect to Legacy Connect hardware and provide telemetry or theft features when available.
  • Provide support, improve reliability, troubleshoot issues and develop features.
  • Prevent abuse, scams, spam, fraud and security threats; investigate reports and enforce community rules.

Community, messaging and public content

Profile details and content may be visible to other riders according to the feature and privacy option you select. This can include rider profiles, posts, ride information, riding locations, reviews, leaderboards, photos, videos, bike content and marketplace listings.

Messages are visible to their conversation participants. Marketplace messages remain connected to their listing, Ride Out group messages are for approved participants, and private friend chats are for accepted friends. Riders can block users and report content. Serious or repeated breaches may result in content removal or account restrictions.

Do not publish sensitive personal information or media you do not have permission to share. Legacy Connect is not an emergency service.

Storage, service providers and disclosure

Legacy Connect uses third-party infrastructure needed to provide the service. This currently includes Supabase for authentication, database and storage services; app-store providers for subscriptions and purchases; and mapping or directions technologies for map and location features.

Information may be processed by these providers only as needed to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, investigate misuse, protect riders, or protect the rights and security of Legacy Connect and others.

Data retention and security

Information may be retained while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and protect the service. User content may remain stored until deleted by you, removed through moderation or removed as part of account deletion.

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information. However, no internet-connected service or electronic storage system can guarantee complete security.

Your choices

Depending on the feature, you may edit your profile, change available privacy settings, choose who can see content, remove content, stop ride tracking, disable device permissions, disconnect hardware, block riders, report content and delete your account. Disabling permissions or removing information may prevent some features from working correctly.

Children

Legacy Connect is not intended for children under 13, or below the minimum digital-consent age that applies in their country. Users must meet applicable age requirements and any requirements shown by the relevant app store. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information improperly.

Future features and policy changes

Legacy Connect is under active development. This policy may be updated as connected hardware, telemetry, subscriptions, marketplace services or social tools change. The current version will be published here with a revised effective date.
